Mō tātou, ā, mō kā uri ā muri ake nei - for us and our children after us

·       Establish, lead and grow this exciting new tourist attraction

·       Showcase your exceptional stakeholder and partnership management

·       Want to work for Ngāi Tahu Tourism, one of the largest tourism operators in Aotearoa?

Kia ora! Do you have a passion for leading people and delivering amazing customer experiences?  If so, this could be the role you have been waiting for.  Our purpose is 'tuia - make the connection' - with our customers, through our people, to our place and to Ngāi Tahu.

About us

Ngāi Tahu Tourism and New Zealand Rugby have entered into an exciting new partnership developing The All Blacks Experience, opening in 2020. This will be unlike any other attraction and is designed to showcase our national passion and cultural connection to rugby, along with the incredible accomplishments of our iconic teams in black through the ages.

Set to become a must-see tourist attraction, we are incredibly excited to see our vision take shape and can't wait for the world to visit us and gain insight into one of the most successful sports teams Aotearoa has ever produced.

The role

We're not playing tiddlywinks here…  We're on the hunt for an innovative, commercial and experienced Business Manager to establish, lead and grow this attraction. You will lead a team of 40 to deliver an exceptional experience to your manuhiri (visitors). Not only will you be expected to work with internal stakeholders, you will be working with key external partners both nationally and internationally.

About you

No need to show us your haka, but we are looking for someone who has experience running a world class visitor attraction, as well as the proven ability to deliver a superior customer experience. People leadership will be a core part of your DNA, as is your success in coaching, leading and inspiring a high performing team, ensuring that we make the connection with rugby history and stories. Passion for rugby, as well as a proven track record of driving business and safety excellence is important and openness to learning basic Te Reo Māori and tikanga is a must!

At Ngāi Tahu Tourism Manaakitanga (hospitality) is one of our core values, it drives the way we do business, and we're looking for someone who will care for our team and manuhiri as their own whānau (family).

Ngāi Tahu Tourism is a fun, unique and safe place to work and we'd like to keep it that way. Health and safety is super important and this is part of how we keep you, our team and our manuhiri safe.
