In this generalist HR position you will join an existing team of two to help ensure that the complexity is removed across the areas of recruitment, induction, learning, recognition and performance for our future and current employees.
Your support and advice will allow us to meet our capacity, capability and compliance requirements so that we are offering an optimised employee experience to every employee.
This is no easy gig, we often need to exercise our proactive thinking and find creative solutions to help teams and leaders get their desired outcomes. You will be encouraged to improve our current way of working and try new ideas as our people strategy progresses into year five.
As a team we want to be adding value to Real Journeys employees every day and this requires empathy. You will spend a lot of time in the operation meaning a lot of travel, this is not your typical desk job. Balancing the day-to-day requirements of quality, accurate pen pushing with positive visual leadership may test your resilience but for those committed to role-modelling our values and culture you will start everyday with your head and heart fully engaged.
Whether you are faced with a day in the office putting agreements together, writing adverts or reporting qualifications, or you are heading out to the operations to work alongside our staff, co-ordinate training or run an induction, it's a challenging and demanding role but it also about as rewarding as they come!
Experience within a previous HR role is essential, as is successful execution of projects and within your application you will need to demonstrate a passion for people. This is a full time, permanent position that could be based in either Te Anau or Queenstown.
